Dear Students and Parents,

 

SPAD’s first week of classes will start online August 31st - September 4th. 

We plan to open school remotely for the first week of school and will carefully monitor Covid-19 in preparation for our

official in school opening date.

 

The first phase of school reopening, prior to August 31st, there will be a mandatory ONLINE

LEARNING TRAINING session via ZOOM with Mr. Daniel Brown. SPAD’s main online video

platform will be ZOOM, a video conferencing platform. During this online training session, all

students will receive guidelines on how to access the features of ZOOM platform and additional

online tools to help ease any unfamiliarity’s regarding online learning. These sessions are for the

betterment for SPAD students and it is vital that All students attend during their assigned times.

SPAD Online Training session will be held:

 

 All registered 9th & 10th graders on Thursday, August 27th at 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

 All registered 11th & 12th graders on Friday, August 28th at 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

 

In addition, with the exception of Health A, Chinese 1 and Chinese 2. During SPAD online week,

students will be divided into two cohorts. Cohort #1 will include All registered 9th & 10th graders &

the Cohort #2 will include 11th & 12th Graders. These cohorts will be receiving subject-tailored

instruction led by Co-Teachers of a particular subject. This format will only be implemented for the

week of August 31st- September 4th for SPAD online. The upcoming SPAD online schedule will be

provided to all students and will be discussed in more depth during the ONLINE LEARNING

TRAINING sessions.

 

As we continue the official school restart planning process, we will keep you updated as soon as

possible. Thank you for your continued support and positivity as we strive to do what is best for ALL

the SPAD community during these challenging times.
